There are only less than two months left from the DPES Sign & LED Expo China 2018. This week, DPES overseas promotion team flight to Dubai to attend SGI Dubai 2018 which was held in Dubai World Trade Center on Jan. 14-16, 2018.

The scale of SGI Dubai 2018 was similar as last year, still using Hall 4-8 (5 halls) with 25,000 sqm and 300 exhibitors.

The opening ceremony was held at 11:00 am on Jan. 14th. The goverment officials participated in the ceremony.

Visitors were waiting at the registration center to get their badges.

The official directory and 2018 Almanac were put on the desk and visitors could take free of charge.

IEC, the organizer of SGI Dubai, said LED and textile printing industry exponentially grew in UAE and Middle East in 2017, boosting the rapid development of the retail industry. SGI Dubai is one of the most anticipated activities in the region and effectively solves the industry's demand for signage, outdoor media, LED screen, digital inkjet printing and textile printing.

DPES booth was located in Hall 4, booth number 4c-141.

We brought our new edition of DPES 2018 brochure to SGI Dubai. When visitors noticed that we had added one more hall for Consumable this year (total 7 halls, 80,000sqm), they appreciated that and expressed their wishes to come to visit the show.

A good news is annouced from the China Embassy that from Jan. 16th 2018, UAE residents don't need to apply for a visa to enter China. This is undoubtedly good for DPES Sign & LED Expo China 2018 to attract more professional buyers from UAE.

Except from the traditional screen printing and digital inkjet products, SGI Dubai 2018 set up special areas for LED, Digital Display Technology, Retail POP / SOS and Textile Printing. The total exhibitors were up to 310, and was expected to attract nearly 20,000 visitors from UAE, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, India, Pakistan, China, East / North Africa and other parts of the world to visit the show.

 

In SGI Dubai 2017, there were 300 exhibitors and 18,000 visitors from more than 30 countries, among them 37% were from China.

International brands were basically located in Hall 6 and 7. This year only a few famous brands exhibited directly, such as Canon, EPSON, OKI, Mutoh, Avery. Others like HP, Mimaki, AGFA, Roland, 3M, efi, Brother, dilli, SwissQ, etc. were displayed by their UAE agents.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

With the increasing number of Chinese exhibitors, "China Pavilion" was only limited to Hall 8. This year had spread to Hall 7, and a dozen of Chinese exhibitors scattered in LED Hall and other pavilions. The number of exhibitors in 2018 accounted for half of SGI Dubai, reaching to 152 companies. Main exhibits were printing consumable, LED related products and printers.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The second biggest overseas pavillion is South Korea. There were 21 Korea enterprises in LED and consumable industries attending SGI Dubai 2018.
